This class is an optional paid part of the Jingle Ball. You will need an entrance ticket to the Jingle Ball as well as a class ticket to attend. Jingle Ball tickets and class tickets go on sale on October 13th. Class previews are so you can see what classes will be available for you to purchase on that date. Some of our classes may overlap, so please be sure to check out this SCHEDULE page to make sure you do not purchase overlapping classes.
All classes will be recorded so that paid students may access them for up to 30 days after the Ball concludes.

Let's get into the Christmas spirit by creating this adorable banner-style ornament! The stitching is cute yet fast and easy. The finishing is also easy using a slip stitch to piece the tiny "pillows" together. The metallic red pipe cleaner gives this ornament just the festive bling it needs to stand out on your Christmas tree. It would also be adorable in the hands of a santa, teddy bear, angel or snowman figurine....or even attached to a basket.
I will show you how to finish your ornament during the class. It is a bit time-consuming so I'll have two of them already done and will show you how to finish with the third "pillow". I will then show you how to attach the J.O.Y. to the pipe cleaner. The kit will include 36 count Vintage Country Mocha making the individual ornaments or "pillows" 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 inches" each. However, you are welcome to use a fabric of your choice for your project. This design is Aida friendly with all full stitches. I'm including two red metallic pipe cleaners for those of you who want to stitch on a larger count fabric. You'll need to join the two together to make it longer since your "pillows" will be larger. You will also receive all the DMC floss.
I will also show different finishing options for this "pillow"-style ornament.
You will want to have all of your stitching done ahead of the class if you want to finish it with me. Items you'll need to have on hand for the class are your stitching needle, small embroidery scissors and large fabric scissors.
You can choose one of two class options. One is fully kitted. The other is the PDF pattern only (I do share where to purchase the red metallic pipe cleaner on the pattern)
