Cardinal's Triangle Tree with Robin Pickens

This class is an optional paid part of the Jingle Ball.  You will need an entrance ticket to the Jingle Ball as well as a class ticket to attend.  Jingle Ball tickets and class tickets go on sale on October 16th.  Class previews are so you can see what classes will be available for you to purchase on that date.  
All classes will be recorded so that paid students may access them for up to 30 days after the Ball concludes.

A three-sided tree makes a wonderful home for our Cardinal friend living on one of the sides! The red bird pops out against mossy greens and vibrant aqua and teal colors. This argyle-inspired tree design is appropriate for Christmas or throughout the winter.

The class shows finishing the stitched tree and will cover cutting out tree sides, attaching interfacing, sewing together, stuffing and stitching on bottom. The Cardinal’s Triangle Tree pattern includes the chart with efficient stitching layout and space indicated to cut apart your pieces. This project is suitable to stitch on linen, Aida or evenweave. 

The 2 hour class cost includes the cross stitch chart in digital PDF format for the tree-sided tree. Finishing instructions will be sent prior to class. Hand sewing for finishing will be demonstrated.

Supplies needed to make the Triangle Tree will be sent with PDF pattern after purchase.

A limited number of kits are available that can be shipped within the United States. They include an approximately 12” x 18” piece of Zweigart’s 32 count Vintage Country Mocha linen (enough extra room to make a mistake), one full skein each of 6 DMC colors (471, 469, 3849, 3848, 3837, 321), 2 feet of 310 Black for bird details and to make dividing lines for cutting, a tapestry needle, a piece of Pellon 931TD fusible midweight interfacing and some extra goodies for fun. Kit does NOT include stuffing for inside of tree or sticky board or cardboard (recommended). You will need to get your own stuffing and, if desired, weighted fill like poly-pellets or crushed walnuts. 

You will need to additionally supply:

Scissors (both sharp point embroidery and larger scissors appropriate to cut interfacing and cross stitch material), pins, sewing thread to match linen or Aida color, Iron, ironing surface, and stuffing for inside tree.

Your class ticket, whether you get a class-only ticket or KITTED ticket, DOES include the PDF of the cross stitch chart. If you are getting a KIT, it includes your entrance to class and pattern and you do not need to buy that separately since it is included in your KIT price.
